Lexi and Brendan’s engagement session at Lands End in San Francisco near the Presidio was scheduled in the winter just before the holiday’s. We had set out being prepared for a cold day on the coast however it turned out the weather was incredibly warm resulting in the most beautiful golden sunset! We started out on a hike up through the Lands End where we walked through the trees catching some nice sun flares and golden back light. For the first part of their shoot Lexi and Brendan were causally dressed in jeans and sweaters then for the sunset they changed their outfits to formal attire. Lexi wore the sexy Chistian Louboutin patten leather stilettos….and I gotta say they paired so nicely with the sparkle of her engagement ring!

Being photographed is not always a relaxing experience. In fact lots of couples begin their engagement sessions feeling a bit nervous and unsure of what to do. Lexi and Brendan gradually became more relaxed and playful as our shoot progressed showing their playful nature to the camera. I loved photographing these two with the gorgeous California light and epic ocean views. Nothing beats the mountains that rest as a backdrop to the ocean. California really is an amazing place to have a destination wedding.

Lexi and Brendan travelled from the East Coast to have their engagement session and will be back for their wedding in the fall! The two met on OK Cupid and were engaged a couple of years later. Brendan caught Lexi completely by surprise (after a lot of effort, because she was very suspicious) at Brendan’s University Club. He proposed in a private ballroom with candles, champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, and a beautiful view of the city and Charles River. It was truly the best day ever as the couple described it.

It was such a pleasure to photograph them and I can not wait for their wedding day.
