My favorite time of year to shoot at the San Francisco City Hall is by far Christmas time. How can you not love it there, especially during Christmas when the city has such a festive feeling. Frank & Christine began their day at the San Francisco City Hall among the twinkling lights of the golden Christmas tree. The two were married above the staircase where the beautiful golden tree stood proud. It was a gorgeous day filled with so much adoration for these two by their family. I love shooting at the SF City Hall and Elopements are usually fun and relaxed for the couple. With less family and people around we get to have more creative fun with portraits and I find the couple usually really enjoys the day being short and sweet.

Christine and Frank brought their incredibly adorable little poodle pup along for photos and I think I fell in love with that dog immediately. The three of them had such a beautiful bond together that felt a lot like family. Frank was from Germany and Christine was locally raised. The two got along so well and seemed to be such a sweet couple. The day unfolded quite easily as the City Hall was quite empty due to covid restrictions and we had fun and lots of room to explore the different lighting textures throughout the building. The light that streamed in through the windows was romantic and felt like Christmas was definitely on the horizon.

After the couple exchanged vows and rings we walked around for about an hour taking photos in different parts of the building. Family photos were done on the fourth floor where the light was best. We took our time and the couple stayed relaxed throughout the day. The couple was thrilled with the images that we captured and my son fell in love with their dogs so I might have to buy him one. lol
