Liza and George were married in a beautiful private estate in Marin California. Many couples getting married during the pandemic challenges and so did Liza and George. The couple had to change their wedding plans. Little did they know at the time, their graceful pivot would lead them to having a magical wedding celebration of their dreams.

Being from Boston and having attended many New England sperry style tent weddings, the couple knew what they wanted and decided to move forward with plans for getting married in Liza’s family estate home where she grew up.

The beautiful home was a dream estate. Tucked away in the majestic redwood trees, the property was perfectly manicured and the wind blew fresh smelling scents from the rose bushes, fresh lavender, foxglove, Clematis flowers and lemon trees that lined the lower garden.
Cocktail hour was hosted in the lower vegetable and herb garden. Guests were surrounded by arugula, lettuce, snap peas and fresh tomatoes which were harvested by the chefs for the wedding feast. Talk about farm to table!!

Liza & George were married in a small chapel in town. The two exchanged vows and rings bringing tears of joy to their guests faces. After they were pronounced husband and wife the happy couple wowed their friends and family with a grand exit from the church in a classic red Karmann Ghia.

Mandy Scott of Mandy Scott Events as usual planned to perfection making sure to add in the couple’s color choices. With soft cream tones and blush accents the dusty blue hues tied in beautifully with their classic New England wedding style. The space was perfect to host all of the couple’s closest family and friends for dinner and dancing. A clear tent added the painterly natural light to peer in and shelter the gentle breeze that came in at sunset.

The beautiful hand painted chargers on the tables at the reception were Liza’s grandmothers heirloom plates which added a unique touch . The florals were elegant and designed in a mix of seasoned blush peonies, white roses and soft hydrangeas. This palette brought an elegant addition to the reception tables. All the guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the lower garden. Liza & George basked in the dappled light for their couple’s portraits. A classic white cake stood proudly decorated with Ranunculus and Lisianthus waiting to assuage the after dinner sweet tooth.

Liza looked like royalty in her Liv Harris gown with a lower back accent bow and her periwinkle Loeffler Randal heels paired in fashion forward perfection. Her style was elegant and simple wrapped in a glow of pure joy. Her betrothed George matched her perfectly in a custom fit J. Hilburn tailored suit.

What a reception it was. Watching Liza and George was a reminder of how much we missed weddings. Guests danced and partied in a tremendous way after a year of lockdown. Liza shocked us when she started break dancing in the middle of the dance floor! It was a day filled with lots of laughter and celebrations as we all saw for the first time in a long time…..a real party
