Annie and Brandon’s wedding took place in the beautiful relaxing winery of Nella Terra Cellars. Tucked away in the golden foothills and surrounded by the rolling hills lie the picturesque vineyards in a breathtaking oasis. Nella Terra means “Into the Earth” in Italian and has been a multi-generational family owned and operated boutique winery that remains the perfect place for a wedding in Sunol California.
Winery weddings tend to be our favorite kind because of all the luxurious grape vines and greenery that surround the properties.
Bubbles and laughter filled the bridal suite as Annie and her girls got ready. An excitement filled the room as the pretty details were laid flat on a styling board complimented by beautiful florals and greenery.
Annie and Brandon wanted a private “First Look” so we chose a path through the garden that was filled with lush greenery and soft light. It was an adorable moment when Annie walked up and instead of tapping his shoulder she hugged his waste from behind and the two giggled for a brief moment before Brandon turned around and teared up to see his beautiful bride.
The bride’s grand entrance was a grand indeed with a walk down a long and luxurious staircase that resembled royalty. Her parents then escorted her down the stone paved aisle to meet her Groom waiting for her at the alter under a wrought iron Pergola. The elated couple exchanged their emotional vows and wedding rings under an incredible willow tree were pronounced husband and wife witnessed by friends and family. Filled with emotion Annie and Brandons professional was filled with hysterical laughter and joy.

Guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the relaxing patio with a fire pit overlooking the gorgeous scenery where the sun was setting behind the vineyards. A delectable dinner reception was held in an all white tent in style with a very impressive desert bar. The floral pallet of the room was soft hues of creams, mauves , and dusty rose tones, complimented with the natural pops of greenery. Designed to perfection, Lindsay Brys and her team of Simply Lovely Events executed each detail to the couple’s liking making sure things went smoothly.

The couple gave their guests a memorable first dance when Brandon lifted his bride in the air and spun her in circles followed by a dip kiss in the middle of the dance floor.
We ended the evening by steeling the couple away for for a brief moment to capture some sunset photos in the golden hills that surrounded the property. Annie and Brandon couldn’t wait to get back to the party to enjoy endless dancing throughout the night. In face the couple danced until there was no one left in the room concluding with a last dance to the silent beats of their own hearts.

From the bride…

I had always envisioned a wedding surrounded by greenery, happiness, and love. The moment my husband and I stepped foot onto Nella Terra we knew that we had found our dream venue. Every part of the venue was breathtaking; from the stunning garden and pond, to the grand staircase flanked by grapevines, the perfectly backdropped pergola, and the gorgeous white tent. Nella Terra is a vineyard oasis of breathtaking greenery surrounded by endless golden hills. It was the best of both worlds to have this setting for our ceremony and cocktail hour, followed by the comfort and warmth of a beautifully elegant tent for the reception.

The floral colors for our wedding were primarily neutral blushes and ivory with splashes of green. I wanted something romantic and timeless, and the colors matched perfectly with the overall aesthetic of Nella Terra. My favorite part of the day was seeing all of our friends and family gathered in one place to celebrate our special day. They traveled from all parts of the country, and the people that mean the most to us finally had a chance to meet.

My key advice to future brides that are planning their wedding would be to start the process early and to take it one step at a time. You don’t want to overwhelm yourself with all of the details at once. Especially in the Bay Area, venues get booked very far in advance, so secure a venue before everything else.
