Rob & Julie celebrated their wedding in culinary perfection at the farm to table rustic winery in Napa Valley. Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch is a relaxed yet elegant vineyard located in St. Helena and was the perfect venue for two foodie and wine lovers like Rob and Julie. The couple were from New York City and had dreamed of having a destination wedding weekend with their close family and friends. Due to covid, the couple ended up having to push their plans a bit but in the end the couple celebrated in style and incredible weather!
One of the charming qualities of Long Meadow Ranch property aside from their gorgeous vineyards is their apple orchards, olive groves and adorable buildings such as the Potting Shed and barn. When working with Rob & Julie, I was very akin to the fact that they did not want anything to decadent or frilly. Instead, Rob and Julie wanted to enjoy their day and give to the people they love the best party they had seen since the pandemic. And they surely did! This crowd was FUN!

We began the festivities with capturing heartfelt photography and videography at their rehearsal dinner the day before the wedding at the Andaz, Napa hotel. Dinner was of course incredible and guests stood randomly giving speeches throughout the night. There were tears, laughter and so much love in the room that I realized how much I enjoy documenting rehearsal dinners because it really gives us the opportunity to meet some friends and family ahead of time.

Rob and Julie said their I do’s and exchanged rings before their closest friends and family beside the main lawn where the reception was held. We then walked all over the property enjoying natural and quite moments of the couple interacting. Rob and Julie were very easy to work with, light hearted and filled with gratitude making them the perfect couple to work with. One of the key moments of the night was when one of their guests gifted them with a very high end bottle of Old Rip Van Winkle Whiskey! What a treat for the couple and their gusts to enjoy. The wedding plans were organized by Rue 29 Napa’s Janice Twomey. She was fun and relaxed to work with but stayed busy making sure things were on par.

Rob and Julie kept the details to a simple yet elegant approach focusing more on the food and wine which they wanted guests to appreciate and enjoy! From start to finish the couple remained relaxed and took in the celebration enjoying time with their loved ones. After speeches and the first dance, we took the couple on a short ride for sunset photos in some nearby vineyards not far from the venue. The highlight of the evening was when DJ Sharp of the San Francisco warriors arrived and the music dropped brining everyone on the dance floor. Guests danced to the beats of the music and celebrated under a starlit sky. What an incredible evening.
